Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Academy Award®-winner Russell Crowe), The Pope’s Exorcist follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.

As an athiest I still find this type of movie much scarier than any other horror style. Slasher movies are just funny, but things dealing with possession, demons and their ilk are my kryptonite.

The first scene of the movie where the Pope's Exorcist drove the demon into a pig and blew its head off got me laughing so hard. What a stupid demon that was. It was an interesting entry into the Exorcist franchise.

I find very interesting to watch movies about demonic possession. Even though I have read good reviews of the movie, I have not watched this movie yet but I will certain watch the movie this weekend.

Have you been able to watch the movie yet? What's your own personal review and rating of it if you have later managed to watch at the weekend as you said?

I just saw the trailer for the first time, it looks like an interesting movie, horror movies related to religion have always liked me quite a bit, they are especially scary.

Haha, that scene was hilarious! I didn’t expect the demon to end up in a pig, and then boom, its head gets blown off.
