The Demonata is a series by best selling author Darren Shan. It deals with the world of demons (as opposed to his other series, The Saga of Darren Shan which deals with vampires). The series is told by three different protagonists: Grubbs Grady, Kernel Fleck, and Bec, the latter of which is the first female protagonist in a Darren Shan book. It is ten books long, and all have been released.

Have you read all ten? What do you like most about the series?

I haven't read all ten, but I was drawn to the series because the author is the same who wrote the Cirque du Freak series. I enjoyed his writing style and thought the story was unique at the time I read them.

Never heard of The Demonata or the author Darren Shan. In fact I have not read a lot from modern day horror writers. I have read a lot form Stephen King though.

I stay away from books but looking at the intense nature of this genre, I should give it a go. I am going to check these suggested books, thanks.

I read the book back then. This series is a dark fantasy series that explores the world of demons. I couldn't read all the series but Lord Loss, Bec, Slater and Death's Shadow were the ones I read.
