It's been over a decade since the last F.E.A.R. game, and it feels like the series still has untapped potential. The mix of intense gunplay and supernatural horror made it stand out from other action horror titles. Alma, the atmosphere, and the game’s AI were all ahead of their time.

The original game takes place in the city of Fairport in 2025 and follows the F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) unit, an elite team within the U.S. Army. Their mission is to investigate supernatural occurrences, leading them to uncover a private military company's secret research program that accidentally unleashed a powerful psychic threat.

So, what do you think? Is it time for a new F.E.A.R. game? 2025 would be a perfect year for another title for obvious reasons.

Should they do a remake, continue the series, or do something completely new with the formula? Let’s talk about why F.E.A.R. deserves another shot and what you’d want to see in a new entry.

Even though we know that F.E.A.R has been dormant for some decades but I always crave for a remake. I will like them to start from F.E.A.R 3 because there are some plots that left questions unanswered.

I know the game but I have not played it, no particular reasons though. By the way, how many F.E.A.R games are there?

I hate to imagine the developers and marketers are casually sitting on this information and not taking advantage of it. Imagine how much noise the game would make it if it was released in the year it is set?

The future finally catches up to the past, or something along those lines.
