I was looking at what one would consider classic horror games and came across Pathologic. It dropped in 2005 and it got me thinking, what other horror games deserve more attention?
I noticed the game subverts traditional game narrative because of its non-linear narrative that each choice you make as a player feels futile. It somewhat robs you of the satisfaction you get in games when you complete missions or meet objectives. Also, each play through has a different outcome and perspective because you can control three heroes on each play through.
I love games like this and feel they should get more attention, even if they are older and can sometimes go unnoticed.
