Paul W.S. Anderson, best known for directing four of the original six Resident Evil movies, will bring another popular horror video game series to the big screen with The House of the Dead. The House of the Dead video game series began in 1997, one year after the first Resident Evil game, and the two games not only made zombie shooters a popular genre but also helped revitalize the zombie for modern audiences. The House of the Dead's innovation of fast-moving zombies would inspire films like 28 Days Later and Zack Snyder's remake of Dawn of the Dead.

It certainly has to be better than Uwe Boll's House of the Dead.

I do not like zombies in movies or games, in fact I have not played too many zombie games or watched zombie movies. That's the reason why I was never interested to watch The House of the Dead.

I am surprised that they had not made and released a House of the Dead movie before now so it is great that we are finally getting a movie.

I will not be missing out on this one when it releases!
