Please recommend me a psychological horror game

I've always really enjoyed psychological horror games, but I do have a sensitivity to light and sound/flashes. I find A LOT of horror games have these flashes and so I am unable to play them. It's been a while since I've been able to play a psychological horror game and would love to hear your recommendations for someone who is has sensitivities. I do not have epilepsy though I feel like my sensitivity is almost like one who does. It's a little frustrating I'll be honest because I can't really try out a game to see if it will affect me because sometimes the affect can last a week or so making me unable to do daily tasks.

So please! I would LOVE to hear your recommendations and try games that won't severely affect my brain haha :P

If you're into psychological horror games, or just starting I highly recommend checking out Layers of Fear. It's a super intense game that messes with your mind and keeps you on edge throughout. The atmosphere and storytelling in that game are top-notch!
It’s been a while I played it, but it’s still vividly in my memory.
 
Have you played In Sound Mind? If not this is highly recommended that you play this first person psychological horror game F.E.A.R is another great psychological horror game. I like Dark falls: Lost Souls, maybe you would also like this psychological horror game.

Layers of fear are quite interesting. It is one of the psychological horror games that I've really had a good time playing. The devs did good with how they ensured that the game followed a particular sequence throughout the gaming period. I will highly recommend.

Silent Hill 2 has been nominated for the horror game of the year, and it is a known fact that this game will go places. It has a nice gameplay, good strolyine, and contains the basic horror elements that anyone wishing to play a horror game should ask of.
