Jurassic Park: Survival, a single-player action-adventure game that returns players to Isla Nublar. Set the day after the events of the 1993 Jurassic Park film, players take on the role of Dr. Maya Joshi, an InGen scientist who must navigate the dangerous island, filled with reactive wildlife and dinosaurs with distinct behaviors. The game promises to blend exploration, stealth, and puzzle-solving in a fully realized version of Isla Nublar, bringing Jurassic Park to life like never before. Jurassic Park: Survival can be wishlisted on Steam.

I always wondered why it took so long to make a game where you had to try to survive on Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna, either of which could and would be a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind the suspense aspect or having to use a similar mechanic to hiding in tall grass or holding still to avoid the dinosaurs like in Until Dawn.

Dino Crisis, released in 1999, takes place on a fictional location known as Ibis Island. It's not a huge stretch to see where the inspiration for Dino Crisis came from. Sure, it's not a 'Jurassic Park' game, but if you squint a little it feels exactly like you would expect a Isla Nublar based game to pan out.

There's a fan-made project called Dino Crisis Rebirth in the works.

I wouldn't mind if they eventually figured out a way to use virtual reality to bring the Jurassic Park ride to life or the events of the film. I am curious to see how the Survival game plays out over time on replay-ability value.
