I think I have played such kind of games in the past. Such games typically involves creating the right kind of strategies, as these are strategy-based games for sure.

Balancing survival and growth in colony games can be tough. I usually focus on stabilizing the basics like food, shelter, and water first before expanding. I try to grow slowl and make sure I have enough resources to support new settlers.
