I agree, jumpscares are integral to psychological horror games. Personally, they create an intense adrenaline rush, making me feel both thrilled and uneasy. Psychologically, they trigger the fight-or-flight response, heightening fear and tension. However, I have also experienced some interesting thing about horror games.
