Horror Movie Remakes: Hit or Miss?

Do you like horror movie remakes? I have witnessed some that are absolutely great. while others didn't really did well. They miss the mark. I loved the remake of "The Ring. It's spooky and suspenseful. But ‘The Last House on the Left’ didn't leave up to my expectation because it didn't scare me like the original.

The Ring remake was very awesome and The Evil Dead remake was also great. The funny and scary parts were kept all through the film. But ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ wasn't good at all.
