Do you consider Dying light a zombie horror game or action horror game?

There has been a bit of confusion by some horror game lovers whether Dying Light is an action horror game or a zombie based horror game. To me, I have always seen it as an action horror game even though it has some zombies used in the game. What do you make of this game?

I see Dying Light more of an action horror game. The intense parkour, combat mechanics, and night-time tension focus more on action and survival. Yes, the zombies are central in the game but I feel like they are on the backseat to the adrenaline-pumping gameplay rather than the sole defining element.

Dying Light is just an action horror game because it has action packed combat against hordes of zombies and also having the access to range of weapons for fights. Navigating the environment quickly is an action to the gameplay.

In Dying Light, a player is expected to rely on agility and movement much more to survive. Add that to the fact that the game is reliant on combat for much of the gameplay, we can comfortably say that it is an action horror.

It can be classifed as a zombie horror game. That is my humble opinion. The zombies seem true from start to finish. Such an amazing Masterpiece.

I consider it action horror because of all the action scenes that the game has, if it didn't have these scenes it could perfectly be a zombie horror game
