Aside from the horror aspects, what else do you enjoy in horror games?

I would want to know what exactly did you like in the horror games that you've played aside from the horror aspects. Is it the music, the gaming mechanics or something else?

Even though horror is the main attraction I also enjoy the atmosphere and storytelling in horror games. I like when the setting comes alive to grip and shake me to the bones. I like the mystery and sense of discovery, for example, finding hidden clues or piecing together backstory.

Apart from the horror aspect of horror games, I also love to see a spooky atmosphere and cool sound effects too. They all contributed to making the gameplay so cool because I love to explore mysterious places.

The soundtracks. Even if you are missing the visual scene, hearing the soundtracks alone is enough to make your heart race. I specifically like those with the special sound effects.

I love how horror games go beyond just being scary. They create a vibe with the music, storytelling, and immersive mechanics. It’s like stepping into a hauntingly beautiful nightmare you don’t want to leave.

If it has action, I really enjoy the action, I also quite enjoy the gore that horror games can have, also how bizarre they can be, sometimes I practically don't notice that they have any type of filter when it comes to create the game which I like, I feel like they don't give importance to censorship or things like that

That's because horror games are basically for adults and adults do not need censorship. The moment their censorship, people will start complaining. LOL. I am not into gore, I like psychological aspects of horror game.

This is it! There are some horror games that have got good music that will make you wish that the game doesn't end as soon as possible. This is part of what I always aim to check out when I am playing horror games, as the music will be an added vibe to playing some of these games.
