I’ve been an Alien fan ever since I first watched Aliens on VHS back in the 80s. The H.R. Giger's Xenomorph was both horrifying and fascinating. So when Alien: Isolation was announced, it felt like the perfect game for me. There was just one issue; it looked absolutely terrifying!
Despite loving the concept of facing the Xenomorph in a horror game, I’ve never actually played Alien: Isolation. Every gameplay video I’ve seen on YouTube makes me want to try it, but it also reminds me just how intense it is. It’s an immersive survival experience against one of sci-fi’s most iconic monsters. Honestly, I’m not sure I have the guts to play it.
Anyone else feel the same way about this game? Or maybe you’ve played it and have some advice for getting over the fear?
The sequel has been announced so now is as good a time as any to play the original.
