Action horror game vs regular horror games

I came across someone a few days back who said he preferred the classic horror games that talks about ghost, hunted houses and the regular horror things that action horror games filled with lots of actions and fighting scenes. What's your take on this? Do you think regular horror game are better than action horror games?

Horror action games are the ones I like the most, I feel that action goes hand in hand with terror very well and they add a very, very fun touch to horror games

I personally prefer classic horror games with ghosts and haunted houses, they feel more atmospheric and spine-chilling to me. Action-heavy horror games are fun, but they sometimes lose the eerie, slow-building suspense that I love in traditional horror.
